Mastercard at Razed: paying by card, step by step
Mastercard behaves much like Visa in a casino cashier, but the details that matter sit with your issuer, not with the card brand. Debit Mastercards from German direct banks, classic credit cards and prepaid Mastercards are three different products, and each can be treated differently by a gambling merchant. Below is what to expect at Razed, what is out of the site's hands, and why the first step is checking the operator against the GGL whitelist rather than typing in the card number.

Depositing with Mastercard
Pick Mastercard in the cashier, enter an amount in euro, then the card number, expiry date and security code. Your bank asks for confirmation through Mastercard Identity Check — an app approval or a one-time code. The balance is credited once that approval is complete. Minimum and maximum amounts are not something we can quote: the method mix and the limits depend on the account, so the cashier is the only reliable place to read them.
Prepaid Mastercards are a special case. Topped up in advance, they cap what you can spend, which some readers like as a budget tool, but they are frequently refused for payouts because there is no bank account behind them in your name.
Mastercard withdrawals
A payout to a Mastercard is possible only if both the operator and the issuer allow a credit from a gambling merchant. Where they do not, the cashier will offer a different route, usually a transfer to your own IBAN. Before the first payout, verification is required: an identity document (Personalausweis or Reisepass), and sometimes proof that the card is yours. Doing this right after registration, not when you want to cash out, avoids the typical waiting period in front of a payout.
What is on your side
Card limits, the issuer's gambling policy and the Identity Check approval are all on your side. When a payment fails, check the banking app first — many declines are visible there with a reason code.
Limits, timing and why they differ
Two accounts at the same brand can see different limits, because operators set them per account, per verification level and per method. That is why this page gives none: any number printed here would be wrong for someone.
Why players pick Mastercard
It is widely held, confirmation runs through the banking app they already use, and nothing new has to be registered. For people who want to keep gambling spending separate, a dedicated card with a low limit is a simple extra barrier.
Fees: who charges what
Some issuers classify gambling payments as cash-like transactions with their own fee or interest from day one. That charge comes from the bank, not from the operator, and it shows up only on the statement.
The deposit limit a licensed operator must enforce
Under the GlüStV 2021, operators licensed in Germany must implement deposit limits and be connected to the OASIS player blocking system. For a card payer that means a binding ceiling on what can be deposited, set before play. An operator outside the whitelist is not bound by that: the card can be charged again and again with no cap except your card limit. That difference is worth more than any bonus attached to a first card deposit.
